Health & Wellbeing

Community Health is about allowing people to experience health promoting opportunities that they could not normally access and promoting a positive view of health.   Community Health Work within FGU Family Resource Centre is about identifying health issues which are important to local people and developing programmes in response.   A medical approach to health and wellbeing is only one part of the health and wellbeing equation.   This project also makes health related information accessible to local people.

There are many programmes that can support your health and wellbeing in Mind, Body and Spirit such as:

-         Meditation, Relaxation, stress management courses

-         Exercise – yoga, dance, pilates, chi gong

-         Nutrition and Cookery

-         Getting Creative

-         Social outings and making new friends
